The CPI-101 is available in two models; a low impedance model and a high impedance model.  What is the difference between the two models?

The low impedance unit is designed to replace the telephone set on an MDC line. It is capable of receiving and transmitting all MDC codes, as well as receiving DTMF digits, decoding call progress tones, and generating dial tone. Our low impedance unit is ideal for telephony applications in a Centrex environment such as call management and distribution.

The high impedance unit is designed to coexist with an MDC set. It is intended for telephony applications where voice access to the line is required.  The high impedance has all of the features as the low impedance with the exception of tone reception and generation.
